Holy Week: the greatest opportunity for prayer

The St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation for Freedom, Family, and Faith offers sincere prayers during the holiest of weeks as we approach the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our foundation offers pastoral outreach to families and individuals in crisis through the charisms of the Mercedarian Religious Order.

The greatest opportunity for prayer and growth

Not only is Holy Week an opportunity to center on prayer in a greater way, but it is also a time for growth. Throughout Lent, we as Catholics, have given ourselves in prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. In a special way, Holy Week is where unite ourselves in an even more profound way to the Lord as we walk with him to Calvary. 

Do you have people in your life with whom you are praying for during a dark time? Are you yourself going through a trauma or crisis? This is the time to unite your prayers to Jesus as we approach the Triduum, which is Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Attending Triduum services and quietly reflecting in prayer and fasting, your prayers will be lifted up to the Lord during this most sacred time.
