Dr. Anne DeSantisThD
Executive Director Dr. Anne DeSantis is the Executive Director of the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation for Freedom, Family, and Faith. Dr. DeSantis grew up in the Greater Philadelphia area, and she is a wife, mother, and former homeschooling parent to her two grown daughters, She and her husband Angelo have been married since 1989 and they reside within the Philadelphia area suburbs. Anne has been in the position of Executive Director/Director for the foundation since January 2018, and she started working for the foundation in 2017. She is honored to represent the Mercedarian family to help those in crisis situations and to spread the love of Christ to all she encounters. Dr. Anne DeSantis is a Catholic Author with a ThD in theology from Pontifex University (2024), and she graduated in 2021 from Saint Joseph's College of Maine with a Masters in Theology. She writes for three on-line publications: CatholicMom, Catholic 365, and Epic Pew. Anne holds a Three-Year Certificate in Ministry from the Church Ministry Institute through St. Charles Borromeo Seminary/Archdiocese of Philadelphia and graduated in 2012. She has a B.S. degree in Secondary Education from Gwynedd-Mercy University (1989) and an A.S. degree in Business from Manor College (1987). She has experience as a teacher in the classroom and succesfully homeschooled her daughters from Pre-K through 12. Anne was awarded as "Catholic Woman of the Year 2023" by the Knights of Columbus Philadelphia. In addition, she was given recognition and honors from the Pennsylvania Knights of Columbus; the City Council of Philadelphia; and the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Anne loves working as the Executive Director for the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation. As a child of divorce, her perspective comes through her experience in this area. She offers continued prayers for all those she encounters who have been affected by divorce and separation and families who face adversities. Anne is a member of the Third Order of Mercy which is a prayerful/active member of the Mercedarian Religious Order. Both she and her husband Angelo are members, and it is a blessing to their family.
