Mickey Kelly was born and raised in Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Mercy Career and Technical High School (formerly Mercy Vocational), Community College of Philadelphia, and La Salle University. Mickey is a member of the Knights of Columbus since 2008 at age 18. He has been involved with the pro-life movement since 2009 after his first trip to Washington for the March for Life. He takes part in weekly vigils outside of two abortion facilities in Philadelphia. Mickey longs and pray for the day that both facilities will be closed.
His Catholic faith sustains him when the storm gets rough. Though many may be afraid, Mickey pictures myself anchored at sea and he refuses to withdraw from the storm. Instead, he says he must “fight the storm” with his faith. Mickey’s faith has gotten him through many rough times growing up. One of those “storms” brought him to the foundation as we minister to those who experience divorce.
Mickey Kelly is a child of divorced parents. However, it will never define him. He says it has “made him stronger”.
