David (Dave) Wither was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, moved to New York City in 2013, and has worked in the Network and IT business industry for 46 years in a number of senior management roles.
After receiving his BA in Business Management from Ursuline College in Cleveland, he joined his wife Kathy in pursuing and eventually receiving his Master’s degree in Theology from St. Mary’s Seminary & Graduate School of Theology in Cleveland, Ohio. His Master’s thesis centered on the encyclical Evangelium vitae - The Gospel of Life – in which he expounded upon the realities and powers of the Culture of Death which surround us in the digital world.
Dave’s last position was with Philips where he was part of the global Telecom/Information Technology team managing mobile devices and wireless networks, but also collaborated with other Philips teams developing new network-connected medical devices and mega data systems. He retired from the business world in 2016 and has reinvented himself in a role serving God, the church and his community.
He is currently president of the St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation and he is also a member of the National Catholic Partnership on Disability’s (NCPD’s) Mental Illness Council. He utilizes his education and experience to help Catholic organizations understand how technology has changed our world and how to create the new vision, thinking, change management process and infrastructure to be effective in our evolving digital world.
